Gran Cenote and Dos Ojos are options around Tulum. Dos Ojos lies north of town toward Playa del Carmen, making it a possible stop along that corridor. Use it to establish what a particular ticket or tour includes, rather than assuming that admission covers every route or all equipment.

Compare Reef and Underwater Museum Trips

Reef excursions around Cozumel are one reason to include the island in a trip. When comparing snorkeling and diving outings, look at the departure point, activity and experience required, rather than choosing solely from photographs of marine life. Conditions affect the visit, and a wildlife encounter is not guaranteed.

For underwater sculpture, MUSA offers different settings. Its shallower Punta Nizuc gallery is near Cancún and is presented by the museum as a snorkeling option. The deeper Manchones gallery lies off Isla Mujeres and is oriented toward diving. Choose the gallery and type of visit that suit your group; excursions carrying the museum’s name are not all the same.

Plan Island Transfers and Day Trips

The main passenger crossings serve different islands: Cancún-area terminals connect with Isla Mujeres, while Playa del Carmen connects with Cozumel.
